 Chris is currently finishing his Masters Degree in Emergency Management. He also is a certifed secondary Social Studies teacher.  Chris has 18 years of K9 training/handler experience in a wide range of K9 scent detection work.

Susan currently owns an import business with her husband in Peconic NY and lives in Laurel with her husband, 2 sons, and Graf . Learn more about Graf

Graf is a 3 yr old German Shepherd and  is planning on testing for his Canine SAR TECH II in June 09'.

 Susan's Certifications include:                        Nasar SAR Tech II.  ICS 100,200,700,800,809 Technical rescue awareness level, Haz Mat awareness, First aid, CPR AED.

Medical Safety Adviser

Susan is the Chief Physician Assistant in Surgery at Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead. She is also an EMT-CC with Suffolf EMS since 1992 and a licensed Athletic Trainer Since 1987

Heidi works full time in her parents manufacturing business and plans on taking it over some time in the near future.

 NASAR Sar-Tech II, ICS 100, 200, 700, 800, ICS 139 (Effective Communication), ICS 242 (Excersise Design),  Firefighter Basic,First Aid, CPR AED.

 Secretary

Debbie has been involved in search and rescue for many years now.  She is a special education and early intervention teacher and lives at home with her husband.  Deb's previous bloodhound "Donor" was a fabulous trailing dog.  Now Deb's new bloodhound Tow is training to trail. Deb and Tow plan are taking their Canine SAR TECH II test in June 2009

Ed is a warehouse manager of an air condition supply company and also works part time with Heidi and her parents in their manufacturing business.

 Craig is currently working as a Dean of Students at a local middle school.  He has a unique understanding of children and youths, has wonderful leadership skills.  Along with Craig's many other talents he is a invaluable asset to our team.

Bob owns his own business and lives with his wife, daughter and Sampson.

Bob has been involved with SAR for many years now and we all benefit from his experience.

Sampson is due to take his Canine SAR tech 2 in May 09'.

Bobs certifications include:

Nasar SAR Tech II, ICS 100,200,700,800, First Aid, CPR Aed, Haz-MAt Awareness. 

Brian works in sales and lives with his wife and 2 young daughters. Brian is an active firefighter, a member of the Brookhaven technical rescue task force as well as a member of our team.  Brians experience with rock climbing, white water and extensive mountain climbing/hiking makes him a tremendous asset to out team.

ICS 100, 200, 700, 800, NASAR Search and Rescue Technician Class 2. DEC Search Specialist class 2.

 Chet has knowledge of  Sign language (ASL)and was a Canine Handler for 7 years with the Military Police.

Danny's Certifications Include: 

Mike is an outstanding young man who has participated in some of our training.  The 1st picture is from the newspaper showing Mike and Dean Tupot.  Mike was presenting a deer bone he found in the woods and explaining to the class about what a search and rescue team does, and what some of the trainings encompass.

 Kodiak has been with LISAR from the beginning. Kodiak is handled by Chris Padden  and has been on many searches.

Graf von Eintze is a 3year old German Shepherd from Von Eintze shepherds in Oklahoma and has been with the group since 2006. He is handled by Susan Baird. He is an experienced air scenting dog and Cadaver (HRD) and will be taking his NASAR Canine Sar Tech II and Canine HRD  Test in June 09'. Graf is also  successful with scent specific work as well as trailing.  Graf and Sue recently completed a 1 week NASAR seminar in Arkansas intoducing them to Disaster first response work and agility.

Sampson  has been with the group for many years. Sampson is handled by Bob Talamo. Sampson is an experienced air scenting dog and will be taking the Canine Sar Tech II exam in June 09'

Tow just turned 1 years old, and already has learned an abundance of trailing skills. He is an absolute natural. Tow will be taking his Canine Sar Tech II exam in June 09' .Tow is handled by Deb Sardone.

  Hunter is handled by Robb Coll. Hunter is a certified, licensed, registered therapy dog and has his CGC (Canine Good Citizen)

Baxter just turned 1 years old this April. Baxter is just learning how to trail. Baxter is handled by Heidi Hajek and Edmund Hajek. Baxter is training so that he can take his Canine Sar Tech II in 2010

 Jesse is handled by Susan Condreras. Jesse's certifications include CGC(Canine Good Citizen), TDI(Certified, Licensed,Registered Therapy Dog), JHD(Junior Herding Dog through the American Herding Breed Association), and RN(Rally Novice through the American Kennel Club) Jesse will be training to take the Canine Sar-Tech II in 2010
